Tigist Mahari

Co-Coordinator of the Students Project

I am beginning my path in Sadaka-Reut as a co-coordinator of the students’ project with a great deal of excitement and anticipation. I was born in Ethiopia, grew up in Ashkelon and today I live in Tel-Aviv.

I have a BA degree in Educating for Critical Thinking and Social Justice from the Seminar Hakibuzim college, and an MA degree in Gender and Peace building from the University for Peace in Costa-Rica.

During the last few years I have been working with at-risk youth via different social organizations that believe that the youth should not be judged by their grades or accomplishments but as wholesome human-beings.

I have a lot of faith in people and in the power of individuals to come together and create change.
